Identifying Wounded Aspects of Ourselves

Often when we hear the word ‘trauma’ we think the worst of the worst, and rightfully so. But what if I told you that it isn’t always the obvious that affects us day-to-day? Despite how great or bad our childhood is, it’s likely we all carry some wounds into our adult life. These wounds are a big part of why we are the way we are. Sometimes we don't even recognize these wounds because we’ve held them for so long.

Now, as an adult, it’s your job to reach back to little you, and guide them through those wounds. Start by asking yourself, “Where does this [adult] behavior of mine stem from?”

Join me this week in the beginning steps of identifying our wounds as we start to heal that little part of us.
